Health and Social Care NVQ Level 2
This is a nationally recognised qualification which is designed to recognise the role you have in the workplace and to give you credit for the activities you undertake there. You are expected to complete all 4 mandatory units, plus 2 optional units
You will be allocated a tutor who will help you through your learning. You will also be allocated an assessor who will assess your work and visit you at your workplace.
WHO IS IT FOR?
Health and Social Care NVQ Level 2 is for those working in the care sector benchmarking their level of competency in the workplace. It helps employees to gain a nationally recognised qualification that shows that they have attained a level of ability which provides an important baseline in their own personal development. Health and Social Care NVQ Level 2CONTENTS AND TOPICS OF THE COURSE
HSC21 Communicate and complete records for individual (M)
HSC22 Support the health and safety of yourself and individuals (M)
HSC23 Develop your knowledge and practice (M)
HSC24 Ensure your actions support and care, protection and well-being of individuals (M)
HSC213 Provides food and drinks for individuals (O)
HSC214 Help individuals to eat and drink (O)
HSC216 Help address the physical comfort needs of individuals (O)
HSC218 Support individuals with their personal care needs (O)
HSC219 Support individuals to manage continence (O)
HSC221 Assist in the administration of medication (O)
HSC223 Contribute to moving and handling individuals (O)ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
This is an opportunity for business to access free training, so that their employees can be trained at NO COST to themselves or their employees. Subject to eligibility criteria, the entire programme is fully-funded.
DURATION
This depends on your prior knowledge level. We find that most employees need 4 to 6 months spread over a number of learning hours.
ASSESSMENT DETAILS
You will be assessed against the national standards and you are required to demonstrate competence and knowledge for all areas of competence.
The assessor will provide personal tutorial support at pre-arranged times plus personal assessment achieved through a variety of methods including observation in the workplace.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
